Went to a demo of this at HP offices yesterday and gotta say it was very impressive, anyone else seen \ heard of it?
Loved the idea of multiple OS options and how easy it seemed to deploy and manage images through the viewer software, add Thinstall or similar on top and that could make life a lot easier
Also heard the VMWare server virtualisation is getting even better soon, should be getting a new HA option where it picks up the VM straight away with no shutdown as it moves hosts... end of Windows clustering if that does the trick!
Only thing that could hold it back for desktop replacement is the multimedia performance issue I guess...
Citrix XenDesktop boasts better display performance over VMWare - have a look at this demo.

You can get a 60 day VDI evaluation from VMware...
I'm installing server 2003 on an old server for the VDI manager now, with another server with ESXi (RM admin server has risen from the ashes) setup to test servers on.
I liked web based login to v-desktops!
Citrix does simelar stuff. Cost is difference is simelar, but citrix offers a few extras you only get with top dollar with VMware. Although VMware ESXi has larger memory support on servers.
Migh try that on my new test network when I build it again :)
Citrix product is the same concept with the VMs running in the backend or is it terminal services sessions to 1 server?
