Free Virtual PC

Does anyone know a reliable Virtual PC program...... thats free?

VMWare server works on a workstation aslong as you install IIS.

Also you could also try VMWare Player which doesn't require IIS.

Microsoft Virtual Server is now free.

Yeah, it's just if he wanted to run VMWare VM without the IIS overhead.

I suppose for completeness we should also mention QEMU and BOCHS as the free (air) and free (freedom) VMs.
But they are not quite as polished.

QEMU is quite handy though. You can use it to produce VM's that will run on VMWare Player. Bit of a moot point now VMWare Server is free though. :P

There's actually a VM called DOS Box on Shell Extension City.
It's very OS specific though :)
