Axel have introduced a dedicated Windows Multipoint thin client terminal. This uses a standard ethernet based connection, so no drivers or any other software required on the Multpoint server. Also all the Multipoint admin functions are supported, for example the teacher can take full contol of a classroon of terminals and do various activities on the student's desktops
(This is in contrast to the "USB over IP" breed of ethernet Multipoint terminals being anounced by various manufacturers, but not arrived yet (?), which do require non-Microsoft driver type software to be installed on the server to repackage the USB output into TCP/IP packets - more on Axel's plans in this direction later...)
By using Ethernet we are not constrained by the relatively short distsances between the "server" and "client", that are imposed by USB connections.
Also, in keeping with Microsoft's Multipoint philosophy, the terminal is extremely simple to setup - only one parameter required, the IP address/name of the Multipoint server... Probably not beyond the capabilities of most (non IT) teachers !

As always all questions/comments/suggestions welcome !
