Hyper V new server
Hi all,
We have purchased 2 new servers and will be using HyperV.
I was thinking of creating VMS with a 250gb vhd e.g our fileserver VM will have two 250gb vhd's instead of a 500gb vhd.
I have had problems in the past with vmware and large 500+gb vm's and backing them up.
Do you think this is a good idea?
We will be backing up the vms to a NAS. Can "windows backup" backup the entire vhd while the VM is running on hyper v? (Shadaow copy)
Thanks

Ok thanks, would you suggest having a seperate VHD for the OS and another VHD for data in case we need to get the server up quickly for example?
