    Re: Thinstation Setup Help

OK I have changed the NIC to a 3COM905C-TX-M PXE enabled card and I am now able to pull the image down from the RIS server VERY fast indeed.

So it looks like either the onboard NIC had an issue of the PXE Drivers where knackered.

Anyhow I go through the boot stage, screen goes blank and then I get a box in the middle of the screen with "click OK to reconnect" when I do it just comes back again. Any Ideas?

    Below is my conf file

    Code:

    Re: Thinstation Setup Help

The IP is correct isn't it? Failing that try messing with the screen resolution and colour depth.

I meant the SESSION_0_RDESKTOP_OPTIONS configuration not the SCREEN_* stuff. I have a full list of parameters for rdesktop if you need them.

Also check that you haven't run out of TS CALs. I have found Windows to be very poor in its communicating this to you. IIRC the only way to find out is to go into the Licensing console and look how many are left. TS also has a habbit of holding on to CALs for a while (90 or 120 days!).

    Ric_:

This is a new TS Server with 150 CALS non of which ahve been used yet, they have been activated and are ready.

I have not yet got the reconnect thing sorted however I have install 2X ThinClient Server and it appears to have an error when trying to login - No route To Host - aand I wonder iof this is also causing the other method to fail.

Looking into the reason now and maybe shed some light on the matter !

    Re: Thinstation Setup Help

I take it that whe nyou connect from a Windows client, you don't log in as an administrator?

Also, can the terminal server definitely 'see' the license server?

Also, it's worth checking DNS... it's always DNS
