multipoint 2011 and dual quad cards.
Hi,
Has anyone had much luck with dual quad cards in multipoint 2011. I'm looking at either 2x ATI 5570 or 2 x Matrox M9140 (prefer the matrox as it comes with all the adaptors!).
Also be interested to know what USB audio/USB multimedia hub's people have managed to get to work with these. I'm also looking at remotefx capable thin clients and dell seems to be a good bet right now with the fx170. Anyone got experience on this, will show thanks via a pint (ermm coffee lol!)

8th August 2011, 01:47 PM #2 I'm currently building a system based on 2 x FirePro 2460 quad displayport cards.
Just got to install multipoint server on it which I will do this afternoon.
I am using D-Link powered 7 port usb hubs and logitech usb headsets.

Thanks ben, we're also considering looking at Ncomputing L300's as well. VeryPc just sent me their four card setup which does 8 units. I'm thinking of doing 8 units, 3 USB and two ethernet or 5 ethernet. However I'd like to take advantage of remotefx however there pitching the L300 as just as good. So i'm a little bit stuck on which to buy now haha!

Dell have a whitepaper on this where they use the magic control tech clients instead you can see it here: http://i.dell.com/sites/content/busi...l-optiplex.pdf
it's for the older version but it's a fairly decent guide. Just looking at the l300's on youtube now...

8th August 2011, 02:11 PM #6 Interesting shame the hubs they are using aren't powered and they also don't seem to be available in the uk.
I'm using the FirePro 2460 which presents 4 x mini display port connectors, 4 x mini dp to dp adaptors, 4 x Upto 5m DP cable, 4 x Sapphire DP to DVI Active adaptors.
So I can get to around 6m from the host with my direct graphics connected solution.
