t5710 thin clients

I am a Computer technician up here and I would like to know how you fix a problem with the internet connection on these things. The staff up here doesn't really let us service these because they're paranoid that we will break them. The problem is that whenever I open any website at all the window will close after about 50 seconds. Anyone have an idea about that? I appreciate the help.

It is possible that they have been configured to re-direct to a page that closes the browser window. This may have been done deliberately to prevent Internet access from the local terminal.
