right ive got thin station up and running on my old craptop as as test (again rdping to my laptop/pc as a test) and apart from sound (which i think is due to the fact its such an old laptop i have no idea what soundcard it has lol). When it boots i get 2 desktop icons ms windows and ms windows fs. Is it possible to get it to auto start rdp to a computer (and for some reason im not sure if this is a feature my install or possibly my network it will only connect numerically but tbh i can live with that) or at least create a dedicated click me shortcut on desktop? Would also be nice to change the wallpaper but thats a very minor point andd possibly up the res but again thats probably the poor laptop
edit if it helps this is my build.conf file and running it installed on hard drive as all the potential thin clients are old pcs and i see no need for pxe booting them and adding network traffic
PUt a shortcut to the the rdp file wtih you TS name on the all users deskop, and then try 1st Security Agent to lock down the computer and TeraByte Image for Windows to create a local backup of the thin client
i'm also very interested in doing this, but i'd like to run it from a cd if possible. if not, happy to run it from the hdd if someone could point me in the right direction!
bump as above i willing to bet sound issues are due to the laptop being really poor but i cant see anyway to get a custom rdp file to the desktop or even better to autorun on startup as even with root access i cant find the desktop folder (linux isnt my forte i know bits but not a lot)
