what are folk using to remote monitor their thin clients
Hello all we have a mixed bag with citrix xen app thin clients, as well as some citrix vdi users, the question i have is how are others remote monitoring these types of sessions, we are currently using net support manager but its too hit and miss and only shows some sessions, despite us grouping the devices by names etc and then browsing for the devices on startup. Any suggestions of alternatives greatly received.
thanks in advance

If I want to monitor a session, I simply use session shadowing

AB works a treat and is not a bad price. Net Support also works now.

14th March 2010, 11:36 PM #8 VNC for Thin clients
What thin clients are you using....?
If Axel devices - we are about to release a VNC based remote control solution where from your PC you remote control to the server RDP/ICA session - (ie the session, not the physical thin client)
It is free but is only supported with Axel thin clients.
As Ric says above - you can use the Windows shadowing feature. We developed this solution to provide similar functionality without having to give the 'supporter' admin rights.
Also sometimes problems can be experienced with the native Windows shadowing function with some combinations of versions of RDP...
