Apart from the obvious cost differences between the two, what other factors have people taken into consideration when evalutating these products, which did you prefer and why?

Sun Ray is a delivery platform that can be used to deliver applications or full desktops. Desktops can be any of the following Windows TS 2003/8, Solaris and then Under VDI XP, Vista, Windows 7, Ubuntu and OpenSolaris.
XenApp is an Application delivery system
