I am having a right 'mare here trying to get HP Device Manager to pick up our HP T5135 Linux and HP T5530 Win CE 5 thin clients.
I've set up an IP Range so the software can go for a walk - but it doesnt pick any clients up at all even though they are within the range I specified.
All the docs I've read suggest my clients are supported by Altiris.
"From easy to enterprise" ?????

Hey man, saw your outcry by searching for 'hp device manager' on twitter of all things, crazy huh?
anyway, I was having issues with that too. Did you first click on your HP Gateway? then right click and do a "discover Device"? then choose walking with IP Range>type in IP's> then wait 2-3 mins?
I am also having an issue with trying to apply an add-on to a t5545. I am really starting to hate HP Device Manager!

Ah thanks for signing up just to speak to me!!!! Nice to see I am not the only person in the world that assumed managing HP thin clients would be easy!
Yep - I discovered device, typed in the correct IP range and nothing. Nada. 0 devices found even though at last 30 were on both linux and windows ce 5.
Firewall is disabled ETC on the server can't realy see anything wrong with my setup?
I won't be buying any more HP Devices that's for sure.

Do you have multiple VLANs/subnets?
The Altiris clients on the devices broadcast on the subnet that they are on and the Altiris server software 'sees' this and displays them. The t5135 clients are rubbish to the extreme and IMHO should be avoided like the proverbial plague (they do appear OK in Altiris for me though) - I have no experience of the CE clients.
Do any other clients appear in Altiris?

@Butuz: Did you ever sort this?
I've just started to try and use HPDM. I've walked the subnet and none of my devices have been found(That's t5135 and t5735)
No mate I gave up and instead just spent my time daydreaming of a school full of Axel / Sun Rays
The software is frankly, pants.
