    Using PXES Config

We're trying to create an image with PXES config to put on the hard drive of some older hardware.

Live CD works like a dream, just got a bit stuck following http://pxes.sourceforge.net/howtos/s...boothowto.html

Talks about renaming two files i cant find then splitting the disks using X 3.3.6

    Anyone done this?

    Re: Using PXES Config

    I not used PXES.
To boot our non-PXE NICs we use an etherboot image on a hard drive or ide flash rom. This gives the NIC PXE capability and allows it to boot from tftp. tftp location is specified in DHCP.

download a HDD image rom for the nic
    http://rom-o-matic.net/5.4.2/
    then
    Code:
     cat eb-5.4.2-yournic.zdsk > /dev/hdX
where hdX is the hard drive you want to image.
(they also do floppy images and cd .iso's)

    Re: Using PXES Config

There's also Ric's Bootdisk which works great here for me.
