Thinstation timeout
Hi,
i was wondering if anyone knows how to stop thinstation / terminal server disconnecting when the user logs off the session and going to the reconnect dialogue; Also whether there is a way of stopping thinstation timing out when the machine is turned on at the windows log-on screen.
Thanks

29th October 2008, 12:32 PM #2 Both are part of Terminal Services functionality I believe. ie. a disconnect/log off is a termination of the RDP or ICA session, so the thinstation would have to create a new session.
I believe you can solve this by adding RECONNECT_PROMPT=AUTO to your config file. As it will recreate a session.
You can't really remove the timeout though, as this is set on the terminal server, to prevent resources being wasted. You can change the length a bit, but i'd advise to just use the above config alteration and it will respawn the connection when the old ones are killed.
Note though, i didn't get this to work on my thinstation install. But it isn't an issue for me.
