    VMWare and Ubuntu 8.04

I've got Vmware workstation installed with a Virtual Machine of Ubuntu Desktop 8.04. For the most part it runs fine but it doesn't seem to acknowledge certain keys, like Esc, Tab, Shift (either), or the F keys.

Any ideas what is going on?

Have you tried using a different keyboard map?
