Hi,
I'm currently in the process of creating a mirror version of our network in vm workstation for testing purposes.
The current setup is.
1 Windows 2003 Domain Controller running DNS and DHCP Server using
Vnet 8 (NAT) for internet and VMet 2 for private lan
1 Windows 2003 Sever Running SQL Server 2005 using VMet 2
1 Windows 2003 Sever Running RIS and WSUS using VMet 2
1 Windows XP Client using VMet 2
The issue i'm having is all the non domain controller images are not picking up DHCP leases, I have set reservations for the servers and the xp client should pick an ip from the scope but isn't.
I have disabled the DHCP server in VM Workstation as i need the ability to network boot from the ris server.
All the images were able to pick up an ip if i used the vm worksation dhcp server.
Has anyone been able to get a guest image to dish out ip address?
TIA
