All of a sudden most of my citrix clients have stopped connecting to the terminal server, they go through the connection process state connection in progress and instead of the terminal window popping up does nothing and reverts to the desktop. All my Wyse clients seem to connect no problem as does 1 Compaq windows xpe client all other Compaq’s do not have checked the published application and all seems ok.
Anyone any ideas?
Cheers

Can the other Compaq's talk to the Terminal servers at all?
Check the .ica file is correct on the clients.
Check if you can resolve the DNS name of the Citrix server and that you can ping the server. Also check that you can connect to the server on port 1494
Code:
telnet CitrixServer 1494
you should get back
Code:
Connected to CitrixServer
Escape character is '^]'.
ICA^]

Is it a licencing issue? - had that with some clients that needed some setting reversed [sorry - not much help - it was a few years ago now]

@Paul: Do you still have the Win2K Citrix clients and do these connect OK?
I never really set those XPe boxes up properly so it may be worth re-configuring them. Download the latest ICA client onto them too and check that they look for the correct browser server.
IIRC the ICA file is on the box too - if someone has editted this (litle *#!%@) that would make it go kaka but the xpe image should be wiped at reboot.
I assume that general network connectivity from/to these is fine?

@paul: Check out the Citrix knowledgebase and post on the forum at citrix.com - you get some very speedy answers.
Also check that the license server is still running (that was on the library server and I assume it hasn't been moved/removed). Is IIS definately running on that?
Also check the event logs on the clients - the ICA client may write to there (although I'm not sure).
