23rd June 2011, 12:08 PM #1 Peninsula Schools Enhanced Learning Conference: Mon 4th July, Plymouth University
Following the SWGFL post... I was contact by the Open University who are running an event on the 4th July at the University of Plymouth - sponsored by them, Devon CC, Plymouth CC, SWGFL and others.
Details...
Peninsula Schools Enhanced Learning Conference: Monday 4th July, at Plymouth University, endorsed by SWGfL and Plymouth City Council. More info at Peninsular Schools Enhanced Learning. They are working with Pete Yeomans at Plymouth University relatively quickly in response to the fact SWGfL aren’t running a conference in Torquay this year.
It’s all about using technology in education and to teach – from classroom blogging, to online parental engagement. Tim Ryland is the keynote speaker. Also David Mitchell and Julia Skinner, Ken Corish and others. They’ll be loads of networking opportunities and it’s a great professional development opportunity.
You can also register on Plymouth uni’s estore.
For all the Plymouth, Cornwall and Devon Schools - it gives us the opportunity, without the issue of so much travel.
