i need to know how to create a flowing slide show, in replacment of our main image; and how to create a java applet in order to recreate our 'latest news' part.

    Decoy School Web Site

any information would be gratefully received!!

I have used this previously for fading image slideshows:
    jQuery Cycle

As with the Latest News part. you may be best off steering clear of java applets and going for an RSS or twitter feed? Or even just static text rather than having bloaty applications for a couple of paragraphs of text.

    Replied in your other thread.
I use Dreamweaver for my school website. It has no facility for building an applet.
I use JavaScript Web Scroller, image scroller and news scroller on web page like image slideshow
You need to place the applet into the page using
    <script type="text/javascript" src="slideshow/js/scroller.js"></script>
or whatever is an appropriate link for the scroller you are using.
You can see it in use here:

Your site does not render correctly in Firefox or Google Chrome. It may be worth ditching the frames.

Howdo, you can get extensions from the Adobe website that are quite handy for building in different items, might be worth popping over to there and having a look (Adobe - Adobe Marketplace & Exchange)
