Skeptics in the Pub - Portsmouth
Thought I'd post this here as I know this forum has a number of like-minded people with interests in science, rational thinking and of course, beer!
I'm currently organising a Skeptics in the Pub (Skeptics in the Pub) meeting for the 25th January 2011 7:00PM at:
The Mermaid
222 New Road
PO2 7RW
This is an off-shoot from the Hampshire Skeptics Society.
The pub have agreed to do some snacks too - trying to get an idea of numbers before we've had a meeting is near impossible! If you'd like to attend drop me a PM, reply on this thread, join our facebook group (Portsmouth Skeptics in the Pub ( Pompey SitP ) | Facebook) or Twitter feed @sitpportsmouth
I'd urge anyone interested in attending or speaking to get involved - we are talking to some very interesting people at the moment!

17th January 2011, 05:03 PM #5 I don't believe it'll ever happen so there's no point!

You might be skeptical and it still does... that's the beauty!

18th January 2011, 08:48 AM #8 I can see that's going to be a bundle of fun:
'Mmm, this beer tastes really nice'
'There is no empirical evidence for that, so your talking rubbish'
Ever the skeptic

Did I mention there's a skeptical meet up in a place that provides plenty of alcohol? :P

18th January 2011, 09:46 AM #14 I might even try to go. Gathering evidence for the existence of a "Sceptics Group" of course!

18th January 2011, 10:01 AM #15 I am naturally sceptical about any group that uses an American spelling...suggest the involvement of foreign government agencies perhaps?
