Will you delay purchasing new systems because of hard drive prices?

I agree, just ordered a mix of desktop PCs from Dell and found the price to be not much different to last year.

Thats quite reassuring. I suspect the larger manufacturers have decided to perhaps take a bit of a hit on each system to keep sales bouyant rather than having to slow down production and possibly reduce the workforce (never good for the share price!).
It's actually quite interesting to see that system prices have not been hit too badly, and as many school/office based computers hardly use the larger capacity drives anyway it does help ensure that prices remain stable.

Our only issue recently has been with lead times to get 15k SAS disks for our new workstations, but we've had them replaced with 256gb SSDs instead to meet our delivery dates
