I had a request to run this poll from a member a few weeks back and now the holidays are upon us decided to see just who is now, or in the very near future, going to be running Windows 7 as their main school operating system. Please read through all of the options as there are quite a few!
You can pick more than one answer BTW!

25th July 2011, 09:25 AM #3 How many times can I vote as I have three schools all of which have been on Windows 7 for a fair while now.

-
25th July 2011, 09:36 AM #4 None of the above, because we are fairly 50/50 split across XP/7, and there is no "50/50" option...

25th July 2011, 09:38 AM #5 Steady migration to W7 here - a great deal of our PCs will not adequately run W7 so they'll stay on XP until replacement, but all new machines get 7 now. 2K8R2 / 2K8 DCs.

Let me check the options....

25th July 2011, 09:43 AM #7 @Synack, you can only vote once I'm afraid, but as you are wholly W7 I think one vote is representative for all of your schools.

25th July 2011, 10:01 AM #10 Two schools Win 7 and 2008r2 servers, one (hopefully) migrating in the near future.

25th July 2011, 10:41 AM #12 Windows 7 throughout for the past year, servers are 90% 2k8R2 as well, still the odd 2003R2 server left but they're dwindling away fast.
I'm curious about the network who voted "we don't run a microsoft OS on the desktop" Either you're a mac OS school or you're running linux school wide, personally always thought, unless you're a primary school with very few PCs, that it's a pretty bad decision but i'd be curious to hear from this person as to what they're using, how many PCs and how well it works out.
