7th January 2008, 05:47 PM #46 The site being blocked by various RBCs / LAs is due to them blocking *all* vBulletin sites ... We are working on this and hope to get it sorted over the next few days, either by masking some bits on the site with the assistance of a wll known security company, or by contacting the relevant RBCs / LAs and putting in the request on behalf of all schools.
The main feature of EduGeek has been its forums ... that is why we are building the site around what vBulletin can do. Keep the feature requests and compliments for ZH's work coming. We might not be able to fix everything, but we aim to please.

Well of course it is... You got rid of all those excess database calls that were clogging up the system process queue

7th January 2008, 06:18 PM #50 It's going to take some getting used to (and I've got to find myself a new avatar
) but I think it's cool.
The only bugbear is the recent posts box on the home page. It's not as good as the old one, it's lacking in information.
I seem to remember the recent posts box breaking on the home page a while back. When it'd been fixed the column with icons saying whether or not you were subscribed to a topic had disappeared. (By subscribed I mean whether you were getting e-mails when there was a new post) Would there be any way to get that back as I used to find that quite useful!
Other than those couple of things. Great work!

7th January 2008, 06:20 PM #51 I have added new homepage link to view the latest posts (from the users last visit)
I am also working on a new "Latest Posts" module but I am not sure how long it will take.
Hope that helps a little

If this is/was a known issue, was it perhaps not a bad choice of forum software to use then, knowing we'd all want to access it from RBC/LA connections?

This is good to know. I'm sorry, I don't mean to seem like I'm moaning - you all do a sterling job and your efforts are appreciated.
You might want to stick West Sussex/Atomwide on that list of RBCs and LAs to call! Give me a shout if you want access tested out from the WSGfL.
Hoping to see you all at BETT.
Chris

We didn't know it was an issue until till today when you and someone else reported this.
So plan is we will offer work around to it all but while at bett we will be going to see some of rbc's and try and get this sorted.
Chris if you have contact for rbc then please do pm us the name and details.

Would be nice if...
...there was a return to top of page option at the bottom of a thread.
My mouse-wheel is doing overtime as I scroll back up to get to New posts on the tool bar!
(PS This isn't a fault, just an enhancement)
