I found the above on a ICT newsgroup. Does anyone know how to do this. I am in a similar positon to the problem described in the quote. I tried a .vbs script for deleting the printer (but i think i only tried it on the user configuration not computer configuration in GPO) The script can up with a error to do with security permissons.Quote:
We have just deployed WSUS and all is working ok. We have noticed that
when applying Office 2033 updates it install the Image Writer printer
in the printers folder. When we create our images with RIS we remove
this to stop confusion. Is tIs it possible to have a script run on
logon that looks for this printer and if there deletes it?
Any ideas or is there another way to stop this printer showing up.

default printer and thhe kids just press print and without looking and
moan when nothing comes out, so a knock on effect is that staff come
complainiogn to us, when most of them do the same thing.
We map 2 printers to each room already with a VB script, printers are
normally named after the room ie; \\rm21brother1. Any suggestions or
Should the script work in i try it in Computer settings or do i need to do somthing different to remove a GA (globally added ) printer
There were a couple of replies on the newsgroup but i thought i could try Edugeek brains as well. (maybe someone here replied to the original poston the newsgroup?
