I am in the final phase of tweaking and hope to have it available to the masses on Monday 18th June 2007 but thought I would generate some intrest with a teaser screenshot and would welcome any questions people may have.

Above all it's going to be free for anyones use and the source code is open to abuse within reason that is.

I think you have gone back on your word as it seems to be not free anymore...

Hi All,

Just to clarify, MLH still remains free for education only, I have setup the MLH website in order to recoup some costs back from non-education for hosting, bandwidth, etc.

However in order to download you will need to provide proof that you are an education establishment and I am in the process of putting together an application form.

This will allow you to continue to get the software an no charge, the form should be online tomorrow, I will post up an announcement here then.

Does this helpdesk easily integrate with Active Directory?

It does not link directly with AD as in groups (yet!) but you can use NTLM to provide a sudo transparent sign on and NTFS permissions to restrict who can access the helpdesk.

You say yet, does that mean there are plans?

Yes full AD intergration is planned but as yet I do not have an ETA.

AD intergration is a big job and will probobly dedicate a complete release just to this.

OK guys and gals it's here 0.9.6b is officially out and released.

However in order for you guys to get it for free you will need to fill out this form -> here <- so as to ensure that only those in education do actually get it for free.

Once you have applied an email will be sent to you with a unique download link to get the software.

On another note some of you mayhave noticed that the OP Software site is now redirecting to the mylittlehelpdesk site, this has been done to try and consolidate web hosting costs especially bandwidth, the forums are still in place -> here <- and those of you that have registered already will not need to do so again.

PLEASE NOTE:
To upgrade you must be on version 0.9.4b and you must take a complete baqckup of the site and database prior to upgrading. This is a major upgrade and as such most of the files have been changed in one way or another so you are advise to replace all files you have in your support site / folder.

have you entered all the required details in db_connect.asp that can be found in the incs folder.

This file is used by the helpdesk to connect to the database and it would appear either the details are missing or have been incorrectly added.

I just tried to upgrade from 0.9.4 to 0.9.6 and got a similar error:

Plexer at which step during the upgrade process are you getting this error??

That was when trying to log in after it said the upgrade was all done.

But did fresh install yesterday which worked fine apart from the time worked null values which you said you'd do a mysql script to fix for me.
