    Assuming you have the latest version of the Ask Toolbar (v1.12.5.0), this command will remove it...

    Code:
    msiexec.exe /x {86D4B82A-ABED-442A-BE86-96357B70F4FE} /qn

    Use this Visual Basic script. Enumerates registry DisplayName for Ask Toolbar and silently uninstall.

    Yeah, but to be fair, the ASK toolbar is a little.. pervasive. It's always cropping up :P

    Since the Ask Toolbar often gets installed with Java, a good way to prevent its installation is to set the registry key(s) below.

    How to avoid the Ask Toolbar offer when you are installing Java « GHacks

    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft]
    "SPONSORS"="DISABLE"

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\JavaSoft]
    "SPONSORS"="DISABLE"

    Huh. I just use Ninite, personally. Handy fix, though.
