What's missing and what scripting language? A quick google will bring up hundreds of choices... Jujuedit, Notepad++, Crimson Editor, and ConTEXT are all worth looking at.
Edit:Haha, 5 replies in the time it takes to get dragged out of the office and kick a wireless access point and come back again. Must remember to refresh pages before clicking reply in future.ops:

Another vote for Notepad++![]()
I rip out notepad and replace it with metapad on machines I have.

I tend to use SciTE or Vi depending on what I'm up to.

If you want to be hardcore, go with Vim.
Vim for windows is perfectly good, but you do have to overcome a rather steep learning curve, I can't do without it these days though.
:wq
I prefer ConTEXT, but I get around a bit and Notepad++ runs from USB[1] which is good for hotfixing in the more traditional sense.
[1] Saves the config to a file rather than the registry.

Just to throw my 2 penneth in, I found a nice text editor called EmEditor which did the trick for me at the time - not saying that it is the best mind. It's nice to have options. I use vi on *nix mind but haven't tried the Windows port.
Love SciTE
What's the fascination with vi??
Notepad2 here
