    MRBS - help!!!

    Hi all,

I'm trying to install MRBS on our test server but I'm having a few problems.

It manages to create one of the tables in my mrbs DB fine but it then tries to update for a second time and I get the following error...

The database needs to be upgraded.

    Code:
    Upgrading to database version: 2
    Tried:

    # $Id: mysql.sql 1051 2009-03-18 19:14:51Z cimorrison $

    ALTER TABLE mrbs_area
    ADD COLUMN resolution int,
    ADD COLUMN default_duration int,
    ADD COLUMN morningstarts int,
    ADD COLUMN morningstarts_minutes int,
    ADD COLUMN eveningends int,
    ADD COLUMN eveningends_minutes int
    and got error:
    Any ideas?

    Hi Haux,

I've got the exact same problem!

    Did you solve it somehow?

Which mrbs versions are you going from and to? Can you look at the table in question using the mysql command line client or phpmyadmin and see if the columns are already added. Also, are you using Mysql, or PostgresSQL?

    Hi,

    I'm using Mysql.

It's my first mrbs installation, but the update seems to be mandatory. Upgrading to database version 1 went fine, but it's this database version 2 that gives the (exact) same error message as the one in the first post.

I'm using Putty right now, and the host don't have phpmyadmin. So I'm not sure how to check the tables..

Download and install phpmyadmin... you just upload it into a folder and set credentials, same as more or less any other php-based webapp...

    phpMyAdmin
