    Network id is the process of joining a PC to a network,

    as in Right Click My Computer, Properties, Computer Name Tab, Network ID

    Well I haven't a script to do that and bit busy at the moment but I think a key help would be to run this
    Code:
    EXPLORER.EXE /e,::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}
    which brings up the My Computer window and then its just a case of sending keystrokes from then on.

    Hope this helps

    regards

    Simon

    Just knocked up (while waiting for supplier to get back to me)
    Code:
    Opt("WinWaitDelay",500)
    Opt("WinTitleMatchMode",4)
    Opt("WinDetectHiddenText",1)
    Run("EXPLORER.EXE /e,::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}")
    WinWait("My Computer","")
    If Not WinActive("My Computer","") Then WinActivate("My Computer","")
    WinWaitActive("My Computer","")
    Send("{ALTDOWN}{ENTER}{ALTUP}")
    WinWait("System Properties","")
    If Not WinActive("System Properties","") Then WinActivate("System Properties","")
    WinWaitActive("System Properties","")
    send("{CTRLDOWN}{TAB}{CTRLUP}{ALTDOWN}N{ALTUP}")
    WinWait("Network Identification Wizard","")
    If Not WinActive("Network Identification Wizard","") Then WinActivate("Network Identification Wizard","")
    WinWaitActive("Network Identification Wizard","")
    which gets you to the point where you'll need to take over (asI've never used NetworkID - what does it do?) but hopefully the hard parts done and you add the rest

    regards

    Simon

    PS Might be an idea to break up the send statements with a few sleeps in between just ensure windoze keeps up

    Do you know you can use netdom to name the computer and join it to the network? That way you're not relying on autoit sending the right key presses to the right dialogues etc (which it's good at but occasionally gets wrong :-))
