We have just deployed
WSUS and all is working ok. We have noticed that
when applying Office 2033 updates it install the Image Writer printer
in the printers folder. When we create our images with
RIS we remove
this to stop confusion. Is tIs it possible to have a script run on
logon that looks for this printer and if there deletes it?
Any ideas or is there another way to stop this printer showing up.
The reason its a problem for us is that it normally sets itself as the
default printer and thhe kids just press print and without looking and
moan when nothing comes out, so a knock on effect is that staff come
complainiogn to us, when most of them do the same thing.
We map 2 printers to each room already with a VB script, printers are
normally named after the room ie; \\rm21brother1. Any suggestions or
advice appreciated.
