Hi guys,
Need to change an intire OU's 'department' to read something else. Is there an easy way of doing so?...other than one-by-one.
Sorry if answered before, but tried looking and couldn't find anything.
Cheers

11th September 2008, 04:26 PM #2 What do you mean department?
To rename the OU you must be in AD Users and Computers NOT GPMC

No need for scripts or 3rd party apps
Just select all the users.
Right click, properties
Goto Organisation tab
Check Departments ticky box and write

That was the first thing I tried naturally, but you can only modify 'description' on multiple objects.
I'll give aadmodify a go. I have it here, just didn't think of looking.
Thanks...

11th September 2008, 11:45 PM #8 Think Wisesoft (WiseSoft - Resources for IT Professionals) has a bulk modify utility.
If is as good as the account management spreadsheet from the same site it will be excellent.
PS Thanks to the guy who writes that app - it has saved me hours this term!
