    My Big Campus - Active Directory Export Script

    OK, we are potentially looking at MBC for homework etc,etc

    MBC imports it's data through csv files, the data I need is in our AD via SalamanderSoft from sims.net

    I'm looking for a script/command line or utility that I can schedule to extract information from our AD, in order to create the correct following CSV file format.

    unique_sis_user_id, Username, first_name, last_name, unique_sis_school_id, Grade, Email, user_type, Password, authentication

    Some info is dynamic, some is static ie: schoolID, so looking for a way to combine both, any help appreciated.

    Thanks for looking/reading!

    As far as I know its not possible to extract a user's password... so if you require that then your stuck before you even begin.

    You could try and use a Powershell script... something like the below.

    I've only done FirstName, LastName, Email and written it to the console as well so you can see the results on screen (it then exports it to csv).

    Code:
    Import-Module activedirectory
    [string]$OU_Path = "OU=SomeOU,OU=Objects,DC=YourDomain,DC=Com"
    $myUsers = Get-ADUser -Filter "*" -SearchBase $OU_Path -Properties Mail
    $myUsers | Foreach-Object {

    Write-Host $_.GivenName $_.SurName $_.Mail

    }
    $myUsers | Select GivenName, SurName, Mail | export-csv output.csv -noType
    Write-Host "`nPress any key to quit"
    $x = $host.UI.RawUI.ReadKey("NoEcho,IncludeKeyDown")

    Using the command line utility, csvde might give you what you need.

    We managed to accomplish this using salamandersoft (which we already used) John has managed to get us an export daily of "changed" removed and added staff/students so we can update MBC in the format required.
