We have a full AUP but are looking to have a shorter popup message that users must ok everytime they logon.
Who here does something like this and what do you have in your short version?
Cheers.
this is we use
George Abbot School Network Information Board, ., You must only use the login name which belongs to you., You may print out one copy only of your own work., You may not print out encyclopedia articles directly., Please check your work before printing to minimise any waste., Excessive printouts will be charged at photocopy rates., You are responsible for anything done under your login name, so you should keep your password secret., Select the OK key to accept these conditions and to continue.
and extra massage for printing as VBS script in to there login script.
All Students - please remember you are allowed to print ONE copy only of your own work. You are NOT allowed to print from the Internet
We do this through GPs and it just says that by clicking OK they agree to abide by the AUP that in force, copies of which they have and are posted up in the rooms.
Yes i'm planning on using the GP feature but i was just wondering what people concidered important to include in such a short bit of text.
Might be worth mentioning that the session may be monitored remotely if you have such systems in place.
This is what ours pops up:
By clicking on the OK button, you are agreeing to abide, by the rules laid out in the Unity College Acceptable Usage Policy., A copy of the policy is included in your Handbook. The basics are also displayed on the walls of the Computer Suites. If you do not agree to follow the policy, do not log on to this computer.
