Hello,
Does anyone know of any good websites aimed at informing kids of the dangers of the internet: sharing personal details, chat rooms, meeting strangers etc.
Since I've blocked social networking sites, webmail and chat rooms, pupils are moaning about it. I thought it may do some good to put links to websites on the intranet to better explain why they're blocked.
Thanks.

Thats probably the main/best one. You can get posters and leaflets to dish out and put on the walls.

7th March 2008, 04:49 PM #7 my son has just walked through the door with a leaflet from KCC "Young people, ICT and e-safety":
Their web recommendations are:
http://www.ceop.gov.uk/
http://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/
http://www.digizen.org/
http://www.kented.org.uk/ngfl/ict/ and click on the Safety tab
I think a couple of these have already been mentioned
