11th May 2012, 01:39 PM #5 Hi,
Unsure of who is exactly going, as its being ran by Square group. I had been speaking to them about this event and I thought it could be of interest to EduGeek members who had been looking at using iPads within the school environment. They have said they have already got a large audience for this event in the education space, the names and locations of those schools i'm unsure of though, sorry.

Just registering an interest to attend. I don't have any iPads or tablets here yet however, I do need to consider the future..... Colleagues of mine who do have them say it's a nightmare managing them and repairing them, etc. so it would be good to receive a postivie spin...

11th May 2012, 02:14 PM #7 Yeah i think its definitely worth attending, it will be very PRO iPad use, but it will be coming from people in the field who have installed and managed them and may know a few tips and tricks to avoid some problems about managing them. Could be a good opportunity as well to investigate some of the areas your colleagues have had issues with. Ruckus will be taking a section of the talk to go through the wireless side of things.
The registration link is above, or just click here to go to the page.

16th May 2012, 10:00 AM #9 Not there, was a little far to travel for a few hours, despite the argument of it quite possibly being valuable. Any chance of posting up a review or some material later @GrumbleDook ?

Hi @Grumbledock - I was there too! I guess you were the guy at the front with the Edugeek shirt?
I thought it was well attended and well presented. I'm currently an Android 'urchin' myself however, it was thought provoking as to how the iPad could be used for learning.....

It was a really good workshop. Impressed with some of the things shown and how things have improved. I'll be waiting until I get copies or access to some of the slide decks before posting a report on it.
It was good to meet up with Chris (sorry mate, forgot your userid again) and say hi to the NET-CTRL / Ruckus folk.
