    Recommend a Video Camcorder Anyone

The School is looking for a new Video Camcorder.

Must record to HDD - can't be doing with tapes and disks
    Preferably a standard usb connection.

    Budget is £400 maximum

I've looked at the Sony DCRSR52E (approx £348), but do any of you budding camramen/women have any other recommendations?

Bought one not so long back, good camera and the teachers hav'nt bugged me about it so it must be simple to use.

Also bought this for £284.05 ex VAT, same good feedback from staff.

Cant fault CCL, use them all the time.

That was handy The company I ordered from lost the order then said they can't invoice us and want payment up front.

Thanks Galway - I didn't realise CCL did cameras.

CCL do everything, for education they will source anything and everything for you, you just need to ask.

Might be worth paying a little extra and getting one with AV inputs too so you can use an external cam or mic with it. Can be useful in some applications. A feature not many cheaper decent make cams have. Strangely enough though those cheap 99 quid jobbies from ebay (Taiwan, Hong Kong or wherever) do have AV inputs! I wan't one for use with a bullet cam on a motorbike! Vroom Vroom!
