Where do you get yours from.
It's that time of year again and I am looking at alternative suppliers.
Xp and office 2003 with Visio Frontpage and Encarta is what I am looking for.
Any advice on suppliers is appreciated.

I always find Crock-eyed Dave in the Surrey Arms to be very good value
Well why didn't you tell me I am sat right next to you. If you had told me dodgy Dave could have done I would not have had to post this thread.
Yeah but then I wouldnt have got +1 posts !!
True. *thats another for me*
Ramesys. Pugh. Phoenix. All good.
Inmac and Misco do them as well I think. Tangible Benefit tried to get me to buy MS stuff through them too.

If you are a specialist school then Ramesys hold the master select agreement ... and can usually be persuaded to throw something in.

Yeah but you will have to wait forever for the software as we have been waiting 4-5 months as we have just attained specialist status and they were there to offer the moon but microsoft have let them down with their inevitable logistical problems.
Cheers Guys will check them out, what sort of prices you paying for each licence.

We got them for free as we have achieved status and have gone down the route of attaining all our software through ramasys exchange, sharepoint, enterprise server 2003 plus all cals free etc etc. but the problem is that we have to reapply for staus every 4 years and if we don't get it we will be forced to pay for all the software we have used.

Always found Ramesys to be very fast delivery media cd's and your invoice is the licence documentation.
Encarta is available from ELC's and they will throw in free frontpage licences with it.
Office 2003 is £31 and I've gotten the same amount of frontpage licences thrown in free for that as well.
Normally get either frontpage or server 2003 cals for free.
You just have to be cheeky and ask.
Ben
Use the local LEA here now. Almost as cheap as Ramesys but easier to deal with.

Our LEA just buys from Phoenix.
More hassle for me to go through LEA so I go to Ramesys direct as we are also a Technology College.

I got my class A licences for £24.75 per machine (CALs,OS,Office) by getting Ramsys and Pugh to put in counter bids. I also got some server licences free so I could have a play with win 2003 and exchange before implementing it. Microsoft don't have fixed pricing (as this would be a cartell) so the sales teams have got quite a bit of flexibility if you push them down.

Pugh Pugh Pugh because Ramsys SERIOSULY fecked out licensing. We told them what we had and they said this much for that and it turned out to be massively wrong. I would recommend any Ramsys peeps to have a gooood look at the actual inv for your licensing.
