    And the otherside.. he has sky so he wont care

    This week started using a netgear dg834gt with the custom firmware latest version posted on the be forum a couple of days ago. Along with my internal re-wiring ive seen my connection now go up to 17mb. I reckon I should be able to get that up to about 20 with a few more tweaks and stuff

    Next im gonna look at how to put the netgear into modem only mode so I can use my cisco router to handle my multiple IPs. Wasting a tenner a month at the moment as I cant get the multiIPs working.

    They're probably installing cable for the new build then and not just because you asked them. They probably told you that to make you feel special and so that they can continue to charge you 75 a month.
