Can anyone recommend an AV/Multimedia Supplier???

    Chaps,

We are located in the London Area and are looking for a company to supply and install two projector systems, one for the main hall and the other for a new Drama Suite.

Can anyone suggest a reliable and reasonable supplier?

    Thanks

    Alan

Have a look at USL They usually give us good prices for projectors and bulbs. Not actually used them for installations.

We have had many interctive whiteboards / projector systems put in by these people:

    http://www.tgmresource.com

Very competative and professional installations IMHO

Our LEA went out to tender and this company http://www.matrixdisplay.com came in with the most compeative cost and there instaltion work has been of a very high standard (we have had 44 boards fitted). However they have changed sales rep and the current one is not delivering quote etc on time  I thing they have got slack thinking they won the tender. Any my manager has put a call into the MD so hopefully things will improve soon.

Used Matrix, never will again. Left us with 3 IWB installations that had live VGA leads. Were very unhelpful, took 2 months to get the problems fixed.

I now use http://www.rocheav.co.uk/ Becta Approved

    Bullet Point Presentations

Good salesmen, high quality of work, guaranteed 3 year lamp life on Epson projectors. Can't recommend them enough.

We've also used Panacea IT, Inmac (who subcontract out to Admiral) and V-Lan and have found them good too.

Can also recommended Panacea - have used many firms and they have been the best so far for us... Corin Harrison [corin @ panaceait.com] is the man to speak to... very helpful chap.

We use Scotia for all our AV stuff. Fantastic and professional! They installed a bespoke auditorium for us, with VC, rear projection screen, interactive whiteboard, visualiser, lectern with inputs for laptops etc, induction loop, Sky Digital, DVD, VHS, Wireless Mics, Speakers, all remote controlled with a Crestron unit.

I try to keep them as far away as possible!

It does come in handy for when the footballs on and we've now got a HD projection set up in there with a screen the size of the back wall, the xbox 360 looks mighty fine on it

Re: Can anyone recommend an AV/Multimedia Supplier???

LOL, I will vote for Roche AV, excellent prices and some very good warranty offers on projectors and bulbs. Got 4yrs on the projectors and 3 on the bulbs (was 3 years ago now) but last quotes I got had a similar offer. Just had to remind them today about faxing a warranty repair (5 nudges and it arrived) But appart from that very helpful guy on the phone, asked for advice on another projector from that thats sounds like Concorde starting up and running! and an identical one does not, they said fill in a form and send that in as well and we will look whilst its in warranty! What nice people!

Try GV Multi-media at www.gvmm.co.uk there very good for Educational prices. We must have purchased almost 20 projectors in the last year and we got great prices ans service from them. So give them a go.

We've used GV Multimedia before.. 3 LCD screens with speakers in the dining hall and a projector/large screen with wireless mic+amp+speakers in the main hall. No problems at all.
