BBC Basic back in schools onthe RasPi

The Pi's backers have drawn inspiration from the BBC Micro.
Produced in the 1980s by Acorn computers for the BBC Computer Literacy Project, they were widely adopted in British Schools.

BBC Basic, the programming language which ran on the machines, provided a gentle introduction to the challenges of coding.
Now it is set for a revival on the Raspbery Pi (or RasPi as it has become known)

This is nice to hear, I grew up with Basic and BBC Basic was one of the better ones. Lets face it the moden user-friendly windows GUI is a muppet-making desert for the mind and games written in the bedroom with blocky 8-bit 2-D graphics are still the best!
