According to the BEEB Google is funding a give away of 15,000 Raspberry Pis for schools BBC News - Google to give schools Raspberry Pi microcomputers
Unfortunately the article doesn't seem to indicate how schools can register interest?
If anyone finds out more details about how to get involved with this can they post please. Very interested in this for our school.
My understanding is that once you are running the OCR GCSE Computing course, then OCR will handle it.
If OCR are handling this... does anyone know how many schools run the GCSE computing course?
I guess my real question is, on average, how many will each school get?
"We’re going to be working with Google and six UK educational partners to find the kids who we think will benefit from having their very own Raspberry Pi"
This is taken from the Raspberry Pi website. 15,000 Raspberry Pis for UK schools – thanks Google! | Raspberry Pi
Not sure what it means or how they determine who will benefit the most!!
We have received a email today from OCR telling us that our Raspberry Pi's are on there way
