The Raspberry Pi now available over the counter!

I was in CPC on my way to work to get a new watch battery and what did I see on the counter? A sign saying that the Pi was now available to buy. I asked the guy serving me whether it was still pre-orders only, and he said no, it's now in stock to purchase.
If only it wasn't the school holidays! I think I'll pick one up at the end of the month though

Maplin also have their Raspberry Pi with starter kit out today, although that seems to be in stock at the end of September:

Raspberry Pi® Board and Starter Kit : Raspberry Pi : Maplin Electronics

That does come with a rather snazzy twin-USB port power adapter.

Brilliant!! I still havent received my pre-ordered one from RS !!! I could have just waited and got one from Maplins!

Edit : Just seen Maplins are taking pre-orders. Due in by end of Sept as @dhicks said. Although CPC site says its in stock with them.

Shame on you Chris - you could have been the first person in the world to buy one retail from a shop!
