ActivInspire not saving settings

We are having a problem with ActivInspire on our network. The problem seems to be that when a user makes a change to their ActivInspire profile like changing the default colour for slides or making a change to their toolbox, that change isn't saved for when the user either next starts ActivInspire or logs off and restarts ActivInspire. The users have full write access to the Application Data\ACTIV Software and Application Data\Promethean folders as well as an Activ Software folder in their home areas. We're running ActivInspire v1.5 but were running v1.4 last year.

Can you make any suggestions?

Hi there,

Not sure if you are using one, but in 1.5 of Inspire, we added a new function to the Admini.ini file - Key 12.

If you employ this key, it should remember all users settings - but this is only applicable since 1.5 - not earlier versions.

Please search the Promethean KB for article 10387 - hopefully, this will help resolve the issues.

Might also be worth noting, we have just released version 1.6 of Inspire too.

If you use Key 12, does that take priority over key 0?

Hi there - no - you would still need to define Key 0 - But Key 12 could be a folder inside Key 0 (if that makes sense :-)
