Our staff are having issues with sound not playing through the USB audio. I've installed ActivDriver 5.7.22.1 on to all our PCs, logged in as Admin and set the default device to the Promethean Audio. As soon as someone else logs in, it reverts back to the internal sound device. Any ideas on how I can force the default as the USB audio?
Crude but could you delete the other hardware devices?

It's a per-user setting, so you would have to do it as that user. Are they restricted from changing the default audio device themselves?Quote:

I found a script online for my son's Win 7 machine that switches the default audio between USB and internal...
I'll give it a try disabling the onboard sound card. We're running Windows Server 2003 with XP clients.
Maybe somebody can provide the switching script?
