Hi there,
Is there a limit on the number of Expression Handsets that can be connected to a single ActivHub?
Specifically I want to connect all of out 128 handsets up to a single hub for some mass audiance participation.
Cheers

Hi,
Yep, there is a limit of 500, so you should be fine with 128.
One thing, and it won't cause problems as such, but might be worth noting that the latest firmware allows "Self Paced" learning - so if you are wanting to use that (where questions automatically get sent to the devices, with the student able to answer at "their own pace"), then the firmware on all of the devices would need to be the latest (9.02.33).
But 128 devices whould deffinitely be ok!
Cheers for the info. Sorry to be lazy but I'm a bit snowed under, you haven't got a link to the latest firmware and an idiots guide on what to do?
(Actually they do work with the self paced stuff because I've done it but I might have some time over Christmas to update the firmware.
Here you go :-)

One final Question (and actually I think I know the answer but I just want to be absolutely sure), the handsets are registered to the hub aren't they? Thus if I register some devices, remove the hub and take it to another computer the divces will still work. Or in my example if I register all 128 handests sat relaxed in my warm office the day before our event I can take the hub out of my PC, put the hub in the PC that we will be using and voila all 128 handsets ready to go.
Yep - that should work like a charm!
Good luck!
