It's had it.
I think Plexer may be right, looks like your amp is faulty. If you need to determine whether this is under warranty or how to go about getting a replacement please email our Technical Support team by completing this form... Contact Support
i had the same problem its a easy repair for them to do it took the engineer 15 mins tto replace the caps
Yup it will be the capacitors. You can replace them yourself. If you comfortable with a soldering iron. If not find a local electrical repair place. We have one locally that has fixed 5-6 of our amps. Think he charges £15 a time. Better than replacing the whole unit. Unless it's almost new.
Just to ask- is there a circuit diagram available for this board?
Sorry - no - there are no circuit diagrams available I'm afraid.
GOT IT FIXED!!! Took it our local Electronics repair shop. Turns out it was the capacitors so it looks like the others we have here, which have all started doing the same thing, can be fixed as well. Those capacitors must only last so long...
Only cost about £45 to get it fixed. Cheaper than a new amp ;)
About £20 quid cheaper allthough I'd have replaced it with one of these myself:
Vison Techconnect Stereo Amplifier V2 (TC2-AMP2) - www.misco.co.uk
Ben
classroom, they are just not powerful enough and they certainly do not seem to provide the output the spec suggests.
I find the best speakers for classrooms are the Pulse 30w active or 50w active from CPC Farnell - they are about £40 to £50 a pair and come with brackets and some cable.
For non active speakers, the best option is Vision's SP-1300 and these are a good buy from Misco.
Just to add...Vision amps are crap...all tend to break...or have a channel not working....so we're replacing them with some Pioneer A-209r's...they were just above £100 which was roughly the same price as Vision...but build quality is so much better.
