Promethean PLM-30 Projector not working
We have a Promethean PLM-30 Projector which has suddenly stopped working. It tries to start up 3 times and then just gives up and goes back into standby mode. Filters are quite clean and the lamp does not show evidence of failure. This is the only projector of its kind in school so I cannot lamp swap to try and identify if the lamp is the problem. The "lamp replace" warning light is not on so before I buy an expensive new lamp is there anything else that may be causing the failure ? I'm thinking thermal trip switch like some of the older projectors that we have ?

If the unit is not coming on, it does sound like either the lamp or the ballast unit which may have failed.
Your probably best getting in contact with Support - as the lamp may be covered under warranty, so you might be able to get a free replacement.
