Document 310651: How do I deploy ActivDriver 5 Serial and USB across my Network?

I've been reading this document and it is straight forward if you are using the misexec command line to install as you can add the 'AddLocal="All"' line to the command.

However when deploying via GPO and AD can anyone tell me how to add this line to the install? This is on a WIndows 2003R2 server and XP clients.

    Cheers

    Gareth

    Hi Gareth,

I'm not sure this command can be added to AD / GPO.

If you want to do it that way, you might be best firstly deploying 5.27 driver, and then deploying 5.5 over the top. The serial part of the driver from 5.27 is the same one that is included in the 5.5 driver, so there have been no updates as such on the serial side.

If you need the 5.27 driver, you can download it here:

    http://promsendit.com/files/6100_mun....2.7_setup.exe

and to extract the .MSI from it, you just run it from the command line with the /a switch.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Gareth,
I have made a transform here (No connection to Board) you can use and apply to the extracted msi for GPO deployment.

Hey GD - just seen this post. Forgot I had posted it. Thanks for the link - I'll get that in place tomorrow morning.

    Best wishes

    Hi ZeroHour,

Just wonder if you know if this works with the latest driver and x64 drivers please?

    Thanks
