I have been having a problem with some boards we recently got from another school. They only work if I unplug the USB when the user has logged on then plug it back in again.
I was trying to update the driver when I got the error in the screen shot attached. Couldn't find any reference to it on your KB.
The boards have activ studio 3.5 but we would like to put inspire on as well.
Original driver : v 4.1.13.18
Board Firmware: 3.67.1

Ps I just changed your info threads so they stay at the top.
Hi Chris,
The driver you are trying to install isn't the latest, we are now on driver 5 so it's worth downloading that from PrometheanPlanet...
Software : Support : Promethean Planet
Select the "ActivDrivers" tab and then the driver you require
(NB you will need to be registered as a Planet member to download)
If you are still having problems let me know
Is everybody else trying to d/l this too?
I keep getting a "server is unreachable/busy" page when I try to log in.
I got the d/l but same original error. I found it's best to log in first before clicking on the download else it went funny on me too.

Cheers!
It worked by going back to the home page and logging in there.
First up I would try uninstalling the driver from add/remove programs and then failing that I would manually remove the driver, there is a Promethean Knowledgebase article that walks you through this - the section that you need to follow is "Activdriver 4"...

Thanks. I had tried uninstalling the driver but get that error again. I will try the manual method but your link doesnt seem to work.
I managed to pull the article ID out of your link

Ok I am now back to the original problem with the latest drivers. The board is not recognised when the user logs on unless the USB is disconnected and reconnected. Is there some sort of firmware update I can try for the boards?
Glad to see that you have managed to upgrade the driver but I'm sorry to hear that you are still having issues.
I have sent you a PM as there is no point continuing this thread as it now regards a separate issue
