    Fast User Switching and ActivInspire

We've just upgraded our PCs in the college to W7 and we've come across an issue.

When a user is logged on in a classroom and they walk off, their machine eventually locks. Inevitably, the teacher forgets about it and the next teacher in the classroom walks in, throws their hands up in the air and presses the Switch User button so that they can log in. However, the second user gets a Promethean box popping up saying that someone else is logged in and they find that they can't use their interactive whiteboard. Is there a way around this? Is this going to be fixed in a future version of the driver and/or ActivInspire?

    Thanks,

    Ian

    Nope.

You can kill it off in the task manager.

    Hi Norphy,
Currently fast user switching within ActivInspire and the ActivDriver is not supported.

We will raise this request with the development team for them to see if they can include full support for fast user switching in a future version.

    Thank you

When i phoned last year, i was told it was pointless requesting it as they have already decided not to do this?

    Hi FN-GM and Norphy,
Just to make you both aware that Promethean have today released a new version of the ActivDriver.
This version of the ActivDriver fully supports fast user switching.
The new version will be available on Promethean Planet as of tomorrow.

    Thank you
