We are looking at OneLan boxes with a demo one due any time soon (this week hopefully).
Can anyone provide me with some prices? PM?
Many thanks

Not that I would suggest you buy from them but it'll give you a idea - OneLan NTB510-SA (Stand Alone) + Essentials Pack

Aaahh - I didn't realise RM sold them. I see several configuration there - do I go for the top one?
Correct me if I'm wrong - but I need a Publisher box (I assume the TV card is a good option to show BBC News and Sky) and then a Subscriber box for use in our lobby.
Seems simple enough.
Gareth
So long as you don't mention to anyone I linked to RM its ok
Yep you will need a publisher to get the main content out - TV card works a treat as you said. If you want to send TV to the subscribers you will need the streaming add on though.
The top box would be fine - the other model in the publisher series is just a bit faster by way of its processor.
Although we don't have OneLAN at my current place at my last school I was involved in the install and its great - free lifetime software upgrades as well (justifys the high initial cost IMO).

Don't quote me on this but we have onelan boxes all over the place and I'm fairly sure that you can use one box by itself as a standalone (as long as you can access it through the web console).

We had one delivered today and whilst I am aware that we could probably do most of it with other cheaper solutions (free in some cases) this did everything that we needed. It has a TV card and it was a doddle to setup and use. Within 20 mins we had our own template in place with areas updating. Very happy.
Now to find the cheapest price - because it ain't cheap.
Gareth

So can anyone give me some quotes?
Many thanks

Getting prices is almost impossible, most of the suppliers push for the whole install and setup package. I ended up going with <cough>RM<cough> as they were the easiest to deal with, no pushy salesmen trying to add their "fully managed package".

I do believe that my local AV firm are a OneLan reseller, don't know what the pricing is like however as I have my own DIY signage (although am going to look at Navaho when I get time to breath!). Maybe drop him an email and see if he still is a onelan reseller - Audioworks - Audio and Audio Visual - PA Systems - Induction Loop Systems - Installation - Lancaster Martin is the man![]()
